Songs of a Northerner

Jo Barnes was a much-loved environmental campaigner in the Colne Valley.  She died of breast cancer in February 2009. During her illness she wrote several poems about the local landscape – including the Colne and Holme Valley, and one of her favourite local landmarks, Llindley Tower. A short selection of her poems, called 'Songs of a Northerner', has just now published. The poems are illustrated by photographs taken by her partner, Paul Salveson, who also provides an introduction to the selection.
